Obsessed. Soothing, effective, fragrance-free, incredibly healing
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
Iโve been loving this so much I bought a second bottle after a few days of using it. It has all the skin soothing benefits of the tolerance lotion cleanser, but itโs also a really great cleanser. Itโs almost not noticeable how good it is at cleansing because your skin doesnโt feel stripped after, but it takes things off really quickly. I was worried because it doesnโt foam a lot and it feels so nurturing โ much like the tolerance lotion cleanser (which I use as a second cleanse when my skin needs a few days to recover from something like a derm office treatment) โ but when I wash again with my favorite HG cleanser nothing extra comes off, and I tested it twice on waterproof eyeliner that Iโd swiped on my forearm for an hour or so, the eyeliner dissolved and wiped off with two or three gentle swipes. It has a very emollient texture, so when you rub it against your skin it slips so easily you donโt realize itโs dissolving and taking things away because there is no friction. So itโs great at taking off makeup, itโs AMAZING at cleaning makeup brushes, and IT DOES NOT BURN MY EYES AT ALL. Also, it is FRAGRANCE-FREEโฆ before I bought it I read a review complaining about smelling a citrus fragrance, that person either has some sort of brain tumor or something spilled on their bottle when it was in a warehouse because this is definitely a fragrance-free product.
Prior to trying this, I had tried another cleanser that gave me weird acne hives all over my chest (never happened to me before) and I was struggling to heal the acne and the irritation. I noticed an immediate difference when I started using the tolerance cleanser on it; the fresh redness went away, the acne started healing, and the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation has been healing fast. So Iโve been using this on my body as well and itโs soothing and moisturizing in all the places where other things have been drying. I have mild rosacea and I hadnโt realized how irritated my skin was from the last thing Iโd tried until after 5 days or so of using this my skin tone looked much more even and the stubborn PIH I have from a two-zit hormonal breakout a month ago finally looked dramatically lighter (as recently as the week before, Iโd needed to cover them with high-coverage concealer).
Because this doesnโt foam much, some people might not realize how well itโs cleaningโฆ I encourage you to judge it based on how your skin looks and feels. Since it is very emollient though, I do think itโs important to use it with a face wash scrubber or washcloth just to ensure youโre getting some mild mechanical exfoliation and clearing away skin cells that could be trapping stuff in your pores. For this reason, I do wash my face with this twice so the first wash can get off makeup/debris/oil and then the second wash can really penetrate and clean my skin.
