These bowls don't appear to be 18 oz. In fact, they look like they're smaller than my "paper" 16 oz. bowls. Perhaps they are deeper. Still, when I put food in them, they hold pretty much what the paper 16 oz. ones do. I chose them, again because I thought I made a mistake previously to this order. I wanted the sugar cane, heavy duty, microwavable bowls that these are advertised to be. Everything is as described except the size. I'll have to make note that I shouldn't buy these because the oz.'s advertised will persuade one to buy them.

This is a nice packs of disposable bowls. They hold up well when you microwave something in them (It was a can of drained corn and butter).
