Chasing PeaksInspiration: the majestic views of various mountain ranges and hiking memories Artistic Process: A variety of glass was made using several different techniques. These glasses were cut and combined based on my vision and design, then multiple additional firings with highlights and detailing for the mountains. The glass stand was made by manipulating a variety of glass into an unique design to match the mountain sculpture which was epoxied to the stand.

The plates have a tiny amount of twist in the center and quite a bit of doming when flexed. While the outer edges are entirely floppy. Most of the center is smooth, but there are rough patches that flake off paper pieces when rubbed with a spoon or from a lot of moisture from food. The flat surface (not the inner walls) was able to withstand still water for about 10 minutes before weakening, so I wouldn't use it for wet or very moist foods.
