Wampum is carved from the quahog clam shell, found only along the Atlantic seacoast. It is the traditional shell of the Eastern Woodlands tribes of North America. I have had this piece for some years and it finally found it's vessel. Ring face has been fabricated from sterling silver sheet. Hand sawn,

My 2-year-old loves fireflies, thanks to Grandma teaching him to “catch and release”. She then gave him this book to further encourage his fascination with fireflies. The book is a pop-up book and each pop-up has a round hole to shine the included flashlight through to make the fireflies in the book light up. To add to the fun, there are buttons to push to make sounds to accompany the story. Too much fun! Saw this at the store at a higher price, found it here at a discount. Worth every penny!
